Tehran is willing to reinitiate nuclear talks with the United States as long as it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has stated.

The Iranian diplomat said exclusively dialogue produced results, and revealed recent overtures had originated from mediators to reopen discussions with the American leadership. He claimed Iran had zero secret atomic facilities, and Iran was not yet able to allow the UN nuclear inspectorate to access struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Walking a Complex Path

The foreign minister is walking a difficult route since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be operating from a position of vulnerability, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had emerged more resilient militarily and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an absolute privilege to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the stalemate in the previous talks.

Previous Discussions Abruptly Concluded

The previous five rounds of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and bitter conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with Donald Trump claiming the locations had been destroyed. Subsequently, EU nations exercised their authority to reimpose international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a significant effect.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Tehran representatives stated they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to declare success since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been decided in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could operate within Iranian territory, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Officials stated on multiple occasions they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "opponents in the US".

Present Situation

Iranian officials said the partnership proposal was now withdrawn, but it seems very probable the suggestion could be resurrected in various formats if talks resume.

Trump last week stated he had been obtaining communications that Iran sought to restart talks, but privately Tehran representatives say they are not yet receiving consistent overtures from the United States either straightforwardly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. The Iran's state department has been criticized of inactivity in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran says negotiations is not part of a show.

Diplomatic Stance

In his speech to the gathering, designed to paint the US as a dominant force that misuses the idea of worldwide standards, the foreign minister declared the fortnight-long engagement demonstrated the clash could not be settled by military means. He stated the attacks started with a American requirement for an total Iran submission and concluded with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the initial Israeli attacks were carried out with total Washington understanding and cooperation, making faith challenging to reestablish.

Dialogue Remains the Final Solution

Araghchi declared: "Tehran was not the one that had fled negotiations; it was America and the Western nations that had consistently attempted to dictate their will during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be active and continues the final resolution to resolve disputes, but its requirements, rules and principles must be followed."

"Provided that they speak to the Iranian people with the approach of respect and honor, they will receive a response in the equivalent language."

Repair and Rebuilding

In what is described by Iranian officials as the battle of restoration and rebuilding, Araghchi stated he was certain Iran's security strengths "have significantly improved than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been rebuilt. We acquired numerous insights from this engagement; we have identified our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the opponent."

He stated: "We managed to survive this conflict. Our atomic expertise, which they planned to destroy, continues to exist. The facilities and machinery, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the determination of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they sought to undermine, but did not succeed to destroy. The Iranian people have become stronger, more cohesive, and more endorsing of the leadership and the state in the aftermath of this invasion."
